Weekend of Water Wise Workshops Oct 6th & 7th

Come learn about water wise permaculture landscaping techniques in this hands-on two day series of workshops on Oct 6th & 7th from 9am to 6pm.

$10-$40 sliding scale daily entry
Lunch and snacks provided

Large Raffle with prizes from local vendors
Learn to build soil and minimize or even eliminate the need for irrigation all while reforesting a property and rejuvenating a creek inside of 70 year old forest!Schedule (subject to change):

9:30-11 French Drains and Small Ponds with Dani Slabaugh, owner of Yard to Table Gardens landscaping company
11-11:30 Break with snacks and drinks
11:30-1 Composting Systems with Dustin Fedako of East Austin Compost Peddlers1-2:30- Lunch: home cooked meal provided by the hosts
2:30-4 Swales and Hugulkulture with Theron Beaudreau, Co-founder of Community Cultivators and Permaculture Design Instructor
4-4:30 Break with snacks and drinks
4:30-6pm Sheet Mulching with local permaculturalist and mulch enthusiast, Josh Torres
AND Cover Cropping from the bulk department with Ryan Capistrant gardener at Garden of the Ancients
Childcare & Permaculture Education provided on Saturday for children 6-12 by GrowinTogether founder Joe Carr

2:30-4 Seed Starting Systems with Chowgene Koay, Co-Founder of Community Cultivators, Permaculture Design Consultant, and children’s natural science educator
4-4:30 Break with snacks and drinks
4:30-6pm Food is Free Project Wicking Bed Installation with Natalie Atwater of R.O.O.T.S. EcoVillage
